Therapy or Counseling?

You and your provider will determine which is best for you.

Mental Wellness Therapy

Our mental wellness therapy provides 60 minutes of therapy with Dr. Otey-Scott or one of our other well qualified clinical providers. At The Well, therapy is all about you. We take time to listen to your concerns, hear your needs, and create a plan to help you grow through your difficulties. We are intentional about meeting you where you are and providing empathetic support while reminding you of your strengths and resilience.

Therapy is considered an effective long-term treatment approach which allows time for us to explore deep-rooted issues like trauma, personality concerns, and relationship challenges along with other mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Mental Health Counseling

Our mental health counseling provides 40 – 50 minutes of counseling focused on supporting clients in managing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and neurodiversity issues like ADHD. Challenges associated with role transitions such as starting college, ending a relationship, or changes related to phase of life can also be explored during counseling.

Counseling is considered an effective short-term treatment approach which tends to focus on a singular specific issue such as managing depression or dealing with a specific relationship. Clinicians and clients will explore the issue and work together to find a solution.
